IPMS NSW is a non-profit organisation, the funds of which shall be used solely to further the objectives of the Society, which are:
- To foster and encourage the growth of plastic and scale modeling within New South Wales, and contact between modelers.
- To advise and assist modellers and model manufacturers.
- To hold regular meetings of Members.
